TC1021 is a UART On CAN device introduced by TOSUN. The core function of this device is to provide a “transparent data transmission” mechanism, that is, the data format and content of the sender and receiver remain the same, only the transmission medium from the serial port to the physical layer of the CAN bus.

01. Why do I need a UART On CAN device?
The distance of serial communication is usually short (a few meters to dozens of meters), and in the long-distance transmission is susceptible to noise interference, resulting in data loss or error.CAN bus transmission distance can reach hundreds of meters or even farther (standard CAN support 500 meters, high-speed CAN support 100 meters), and has a stronger anti-interference ability.By converting serial data into CAN signals, long-distance, highly reliable data transmission can be realized...

Serial signals are susceptible to electromagnetic interference, especially in industrial environments or scenes with strong electromagnetic interference. The CAN bus uses differential signaling (CAN_H and CAN_L), which is highly resistant to interference and able to work stably in harsh environments.
