University-Enterprise Cooperation | TOSUN Establishes Foundation Chair at Sino-German College of Tongji University

On October 17, 2024, the 26th meeting of the Advisory Board of the Sino-German College of Tongji University was held at the Siping Road Campus of Tongji University. Prof. Wu Qidi, former Vice Minister of Ministry of Education, former President of Tongji University and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Sino-German Institute, Academician Zheng Qinghua, President of Tongji University, Dr. Kai Sicks, Secretary General of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and Consul Uwe Koch, Head of Science and Education Section of the Consulate General of Germany in Shanghai, attended the meeting, in which a signing ceremony of the Chair of the Foundation of the Sino-German Institute was held.

Academician Zheng Qinghua, Dr. Kai Sicks and TOSUN CEO Mo Mang signed the "Agreement on the Establishment of the TOSUN Foundation Chair at the Sino-German College of Tongji University"., further strengthening the long-term and effective close cooperation with Tongji University. This is the first foundation chair established by TOSUN in domestic universities.

Sino-German Institute of Tongji University

The Sino-German College of Tongji University was founded in 1998, which is regarded as "a successful model of joint implementation of close cooperation between colleges and universities" of the two countries.Over the past 26 years, the college has been cultivating a number of professionals jointly with more than 20 German universities, and dozens of German professors come to the college every year to give intensive lectures. Funded by internationally renowned enterprises, the Chair is a special feature of the Sino-German College, and this mode of industry-university-research cooperation can effectively strengthen the all-round training of students.
