In CAN(FD)/LIN networks, nodes that fail to comply with protocol specifications can easily trigger communication failures, compromising vehicle safety. To rigorously verify compliance with international standards such as ISO 11898-1, TOSUN has introduced the TH7012 test equipment. This integrated solution combines CAN(FD)/LIN bus disturbance testing with ISO 16845 compliance verification, establishing itself as a core tool for ensuring bus quality and system interoperability.

Products
TH7012 is a CAN (FD) bus disturbance/LIN bus disturbance/ISO 16845 test device introduced by TOSUN. The product connects to a PC via an RJ45 Ethernet interface or USB interface. Its Windows system driver-free design ensures system compatibility. The TH7012 supports three operating modes: CAN (FD) disturbance mode, LIN disturbance mode, and ISO 16845 test mode.

The TH7012 can be used for CAN (FD)/LIN protocol testing to verify whether nodes comply with communication protocol specifications, ensuring the normal and secure operation of CAN(FD)/LIN networks. Additionally, the TH7012 can be used to test whether the CAN IP core of the device under test conforms to the ISO-11898-1 CAN communication protocol specification.
Test Mode Description
LIN Disturbance Pattern
When paired with the host computer program, the TH7012 supports:
- Disturbance of LIN frame specific bit values
- Flipping LIN frame-specific positional values
- Disturbance Count Statistics
- Sampling Point Testing
- Send incomplete frame headers based on user requirements. The header can be configured to transmit either the synchronization interval segment, the synchronization interval segment plus the synchronization segment, or the synchronization interval segment plus the synchronization segment plus the protected ID segment.

ISO 16845 Test Mode
When configured in ISO 16845 test mode, the TH7012 can verify the following behaviors of the device under test:
- Supports testing the device under test's transmission and reception capabilities for standard frames, extended frames, CAN FD frames, and CAN FD extended frames with different identifiers and frame lengths.
- Supports testing the error handling capabilities of the IUT, including BIT errors, CRC errors, STUFF errors, FORM errors, and overloaded frame errors.
- Supports testing the IUT's different behaviors under active fault and passive fault conditions.
